Sarah E. Bode is a co-founding editor of Palaver, having spearheaded the first four issues as well as designed and created the initial website and logo(s). Sarah received her M.A. in Liberal Studies from UNC Wilmington in 2014 and currently works in New York City. She started her career in publishing with Oxford University Press, most recently worked at NYU Press, and now works at Penguin Random House as the Marketing & Publicity Manager for the Random House backlist group. Sarah’s creative work has been published in The Carolina Quarterly, Under the Gum Tree, along with various articles found in the first four issues of Palaver. Her essay, “S.O.S.” was a finalist for the North Carolina Literary Review’s 2020 Alex Albright Creative Nonfiction Prize. She is stoked to continue palavering by being a Contributing Editor.
